The Huntsville Concert Band presented its Fall Concert on Tuesday, September 18, 7:30 PM, in Farley Hall of Latham United Methodist Church, 109 Weatherly Road. Directed by Jesse Pascua, with guest soloist Roque Haines, bagpipes. Admission free; no tickets required.

Parks & Recreation cancelled our Concert in the Park because of the continuing threat of inclement weather.

The organizers of this event cancelled the ceremony and our performance because of rain.

 

An Evening of Overtures, Tuesday, March 13, 7:00 PM

Latham United Methodist Church

The Huntsville Concert Band presented An Evening of Overtures on Tuesday, March 13, at 7:00 PM, in Farley Hall of Latham United Methodist Church, 109 Weatherly Road, Huntsville 35803. The program included a selection of orchestral favorites transcribed for concert band, including the overtures to the incidental music Egmont (Beethoven), the operettas Light Cavalry and Poet and Peasant (Suppé), and the opera William Tell (Rossini), as well as the Procession of Nobles from Mlada (Rimsky-Korsakov) and the Triumphal March from Aida (Verdi). Admission free; no tickets required.

This program was supported in part by the Huntsville Arts & Cultural Grant Fund, a program of the City of Huntsville and Arts Huntsville.

Great band music is on-the-air in the Metro Hunstville area!

Tune in to WLRH 89.3 FM each Saturday at 1:00 PM for a full hour of great band music as John Hightower hosts Brass, Reeds, and Percussion.
