The Huntsville Concert Band is a community band that celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2024. Each year, the Band presents several free concerts for the public and also performs at Huntsville’s annual Veterans Day and Memorial Day ceremonies, at other community events, and at senior residences.
The Huntsville Concert Band is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a member of the Association of Concert Bands.
The Music Director and all members are volunteers, and membership is open to anyone in the community who plays a band instrument and can participate in rehearsals and performances, with no auditions required.
The Band rehearses in the new Sandra Moon Performing Arts Center, 7901 Bailey Cove Road in Huntsville, on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
The Band sponsors the New Horizons Band of Huntsville, an ensemble for adults who are learning to play band instruments for the first time or refreshing musical skills acquired long ago. The New Horizons Band meets on Thursdays from 7:00 to 8:00 PM in the Sandra Moon Center.
